The residents of Australia's booming suburbs say they were sold a false dream | ABC News

Australia's population boom has led to an explosion of new developments on the fringes of our capital cities.

But liveable suburbs and an easy commute to work are still a pipe dream for many new residents.

Public transport and infrastructure is one of the top 10 problems highlighted in the ABC's Australia Talks survey.

Eighty-three per cent of 50,000 respondents listed this as a major concern for our country.
